Children ages 4-12 join our Children's Staff each Sunday morning for a fun and exciting service created just for kids. Children learn Biblical principles through many different media including funny puppets, cool object lessons, a great Bible story, and a time for prayer at the alter. Our purpose at the Riverbank is to reach children with the salvation message before the age of twelve and to teach children Biblical principles until the teenage years. Our goal is that by the age of twelve, a child will have been give the opportunity to accept Christ as Savior, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and learn Biblical truths to apply to their daily lives. A child transitioning from children’s church to youth will be a committed child of God, ready to learn deeper Biblical truths and heavier leadership responsibility.
Each Sunday morning, children are released from the adult service after Praise and Worship to attend children’s church. Parents and/or caregivers are always welcome to join us to check out the fun and excitement first hand!
Royal Rangers (Boys ages 3-12)Royal Rangers is a ministry that reaches and motivates boys spiritually through Bible study and memorization, devotionals, outdoor activities, camping, and Christian role models. Rangers meet each Wednesday night from 7-8:15 pm. Qualified commanders are in charge and provide a fun, but disciplined learning environment for every boy.
Girls Ministries (Girls ages 3 thru High School)
Girls Ministries is a ministry tool to help fulfill the Titus 2 principle of women mentoring young girls. Our girls meet each Wednesday evening from 7-8:15 pm. The Wading Pool (infants thru 3 years) The Wading Pool's mission is taken from the words of Jesus, "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes Me" Mark 9:37. At The River, we want to serve your little one, knowing that nursery is likely to be his or her first experience of the love of God through the body of Christ. We want to serve you, the parents, by giving you the opportunity to worship with the freedom of knowing that your children are being well–cared for.
As our babies grow to be little toddlers, we strive to prepare them for the next step in the Spiritual walk...The Riverbank (our Children's Church program)! Our mission is to provide a smooth transition from the Wading Pool to the Riverbank to optimize each child's spiritual growth. We do this by separating the 2 & 3 years olds from the babies and walkers to give them a pre-children's church experience that includes games, singing, and teaching that will help in the transition before advancing.
BEGIN TODAY!
1. Admit you're in need of a savior - Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit (those in need of God)..."
2. Know that Jesus died just for you even while you were in sin - Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrated His love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
3. Believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose from the dead - Romans 10:9,10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thin heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
4. Know that God will forgive every sin - 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness".
5. Believe that God will give you power to live for Him - John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."
